how can you play games over the net against each other?

you need a game that is wifi compatible like mario strikers. you also need a broadband connection from a wireless router ( a wired connection would work too), or a nintendo usb wifi adapter. then you are ready to play online against other people.

That is infact the answer.
Only a few games are Wifi now but with those few wifi games you need a internet connection and your friend code(in game).
