I have my wii connected to the router with the ethernet and then my laptop wireless, could you do that with a telephone extension for the router and take it downstairs?
i read an article awhile back where some guys attached a huge antenna with an external power supply and picked up a signal a kilometer away or something... not sure if they could transfer data, but they picked it up in the scan
