So far, it seems the internet is completely free for it, just downloading the games cost money. The cool thing also is if you have wireless internet the Wii automatically finds it and connects whenever you want.

Rip off, they don't need to charge a monthly fee to play the game. Look at Diablo, and warcraft, not world of warcraft cause that is just a money pit, look at guild wars, thats a mmorpg and it's free to play online. It just stinks!!

Actually, the Wii doesn't have any online multi player games yet. Apparently though, they are working on some. As for paying a monthly online free, its completely free unless you download games, which are each charged separately.

do you expect them to make games without profit? and most of the companies that dont charge go out of business like sega unless there extremely popular or loaded with advertising
