Seems like bullshit to me, though. How could a giant robotic sloth monster be "veiled" behind that smoke? You saw how it moves - at times it's no wider than the height of the characters around it. And it comes and goes so fluidly, almost with the wind. Not to mention a horrible stench usually accompanies them that doesn't seem to have affected Eko, Charlie, or Locke. At the same time, they supposedly make loud screeching noises and have large claws that can tear apart trees (which would shed light on the whole smoke cloud=uprooted trees shit) so yeah.. Whatever.

The great thing about Lost is apparent to me in this thread. THEORIES. It's fun to guess and speculate because you never really know. And the writers and producers totally play up to it, constantly dropping hints and clues - and inspiring second and third viewings (you KNOW I got that Season I DVD set) - throughout every episode. They do their homework and are meticulous with symbolism and it's appreciated.

Gotdamn, this is starting to sound like a sales pitch - anyway, that's why I like it. At least I think it is.. It may just be my stupid American lust for bullshit!
