OKay bored and curious...

so tell me...i want to know each of y'alls story on how you got started with cs.

Mine is fairly simple..
I'm dating a gamer..he freaked out when he heard HL2 was coming out...then him and i got the package from steam and then i started playing cs:cz on my old computer. I payed 60 dollars for like 20 games and i only play one...just cause i love ya'll

Actually, I got hooked from the beginnign game, good old HalfLife, now thats boys and girls, was a game, every now and again ill play a level and still jump at the train/behemoth's stage.

and that carried on to TFC, whihc is still by far an EXCELLENT time online, nobody beats my engineering =P I played TFC FOREVER and i got hooked on Sierra's whole line of games, whihc led me to what i think is the best RTS game of all time, Homeworld(seconded by starcraft ofcourse)

And Then this Mod called CS buzzed about, i downloaded all the nesc files whihc took about a week thanks to my 56k, and i got hooked on that for a while but it got too hard to play without cable, and then 1.5 retail came out, Hallelujah, set paramaters and none of that extra file shtuff, my 56k ran it beautifully, and i played it forever and forever, i remmeber even gettng up early b4 school just to play.

I even remember, the day of 9/11, maybe 1-2 hours after the planes hit I was gaming with these military guys and they said well we just got put on alert, peace.

and i never saw them again...

I started playing CS way back when.... My brother in law talked me into it, after I was talking about how cool GoldenEye was for N64... Then I was hooked.... I talked Indi and Defender into tring it and before you know it we were all crack heads.

I started in 2000 ,but didn't have a PC so I was playing on my friends PC's (in our dorm in college) after everybody went to sleep or they were away. Then in 2001 i came here for 5 months...made cash..went home..bought 1337 PC played for a few months. Came back here in 2002 ....2003 bought another PC and have been playin since ..on and off till i found PuNx....after it's mostly ON .

Yes , I'm addicted.

I'm pretty sure Hypnos got me on it. He was playing 1.5 when I first started sitting in on a few games now and then. Pretty soon I was on playing 1.6 every chance I had - he'd come home and I'd be up in his room all the time on his computer. Another buddy bought CZ and gave it to Hyp, so we started rockin' that and here we are.

Finally got a computer back in December and ordered a package deal with Half-Life2. Had fun trying out all the other shit (especially HL2), but I pretty much own it for CZ.

Usta LOVE Goldeneye - still got it somewhere..

I was traveling the world on a gator freightor (spell check) carrying marines to war some years back and some of the kids that worked for me asked to install it on my laptop so they could play. (THE ACTUAL FIRST GAME I PLAYED WAS CAPTURE THE FLAG?) HA HA they couldnt get me off to play themselves from that day on. Since I owned the LAN on the ship we were able to play throughout the ship and then got the marines hooked up and we used to scrim Navy against Marines every night. I was in a clan and had my own server in the 1.5 days then switched to cz, found PUNX a year ago and the rest is history.

I moved to Berlin, Germany after High School (June 1999) While Iw as there I met this hot girl and basicly moved in with her and her family (we were 18). Her 16 year old brother would have these LAN parties once a month. The flat we were in was tiny, but none the less 5 or 6 pimple faced teenagers would show up, there parents carrying monitors and shit up 4 flights of stairs, and they would have ever surface covered with computer equipment or 2 liter fanta bottles, hell they even unplugged the fuckin TV in the living room so they use the outlets. Anyway, I would piss my GF off by going and hanging out in her brothers room watching them have 4 on 4 lan matches. Anytime one would get up to go to the bathroom or get food I would jump on and take his place for a couple of rounds. They were really good and I had no idea what was going on but I was hooked. As soon as I got home I went and bought retail 1.5, installed it and been playing ever since.

some friends of mine turned me on to cs a good ways back. i used to watch em play all the time, take a round here and there but i didn't have my own machine or time for games at that point. in 2000 i got my hands on my first machine and had a cable modem, so one of the same friends got it all installed and ready to go for me, but i couldn't ever hit anyone, just running around with the gun fire was fun though.

A friend of mine bought me half life for my birthday when it first came out, I never knew about cs until I visited a friend in Florida 3 years ago, so I had this game that whole time and did`nt know about cs. Once I figured out how to do the filters (and who did`nt have problems with the filters in the old old cs) it was game on. After playin for about 2 years I got so frustrated with that damn AWP I looked for servers with no AWP`s and came upon Punx. I had such a good time in the server I just kept comin back. Now punx is the only server I play on, I still suck at the game but you guys are funny as hell and I feel that I`ve met a great bunch of people.

About a year and half ago some kids in my dorm were playing on the network since they couldn't play on other servers b/c of the school's firewall. I played once or twice with them on my buddy's comp and I thought it was a really cool game, but had no intentions of buying it. Then I come home for Xmas break and my bro from NC comes up and brings it up with him. Day after Xmas, me and 2 of my bros played for 10 hours straight on two PCs, every hour on PuNx (my bro played here and said it was the best server and was right!). After two weeks of crack addiction, I went back to school and went through withdrawl since I couldn't connect to servers. I go home for summer and find my other brother had bought CZ. He couldn't figure out how to install it (don't ask or say anything, I get pretty defensive about family) so I installed it on my computer. I saw that PuNx had moved and fuckin bickity bam!
