Before I go to college I want to publish a book. I have the story down and everything, and it kicks serious ass. The only weakness is the first 1/3 or so of the book, which seem quite dull in comparison to the rest of the storyline =/ I've tried so many things, but I just can't seem to get it good. It's probably due to the lack of emotion and battle scenes both in comparison to the middle of the story when the main character goes crazy. Best part is that a lot of characters die, so it isn't one of those sappy "gewd 0wned ebil like t3h nubs" kind of stories.[/b]
I know something like you said.
Try to post it in the Stories Galore forum. JetPack and I are quite accurate when it comes to pointing out parts that might need work. It isn't just a comment of "it's good" or "it's bad."
I dare not say that I wrote professionally, but I was paid to write, so perhaps that'll make you feel better
Oh dear, I'm rambling on about something noone knows about XD I really got to write that story >_>[/b]
Take your time. It's not like you're in a hurry, are you?
I might also keep looking for a job opening in gaming, but that's just a little dream I have. There are just so many people who want to go into the video gaming field, so I doubt it'll ever happen, although it could and I'd love it. The late-night hours, the working under deadlines, the stress, yeah, that's the stuff...

Don't be surprised if I'd say it isn't that over crowded. The idea popped in my head (Game Designer) as well, 2 years ago. Though never forget that there is about 90% chance that you'll lose interest in games while you're getting older.

As for myself.
Like some may know, I am, at the moment, studying administration (accountant), but as I announced more than once outside (and on-) the internet, I
suck in working with numbers. I usually joke about it with friends: "I suck with numbers, therefore I chose to study administration", a course that exists 99% out of numbers
If I graduate this year, I'll definitely stop with this course. Two years ago, the idea was to take on the study course of game designer, but I slowly lost interest over the last one and a half year. Around three months ago, I was searching for a new study course, and eventually resulted in 'journalistic', though I am not about to make the same mistake I made with the course of a 'game designer', that would mean, taking a course blindly. Taking it, only to lose interest in it a few weeks/months later. Therefore, I am waiting until it is December, so I've had three months of time to think about it. If I haven't lost interest then, then I hope it will be a good idea.
*uhhum*
I was hoping to succeed in it, in my style of talking (compare it with my forum posts), though I have a little problem with my speech, that's my biggest downfall.
Eitherway, I'll first need to get through this year
I don't really got good grades at the moment
Actually, consider them bad.
