Europe - $74 profit on each console sold

Why are we (Europe) paying so much again?

Makes me wonder what the 360 and PS3 profits are?

Taxes can't affect Nintendo's profit. At least they shouldn't. The profit should be the same everywhere, so I guess Nintendo's just greedy.

Wow thats alot of profit.. I heard that it costs more money to make the console than it is selling them.. so they make money of games.. Which is why Games are expensive.. (This is for everyone who whines about the cost of games compared to other regions)

oh well we guys have with it but in japan they dont get the free wii sports game they have to buy it instead and think of te wii shipping charges from japan to europe which is a lot of money so they dont actually get $61 xtra maybe just $30 but still its a lot

i know Japan is so lucky they don't have to pay as much as us and in Europe it sucks even more. wow it is a ripoff. how much does wii cost for you guys in Europe?

Here in sweden it costs about 180 £ and that's one of the cheapiest prices here. Its normally about 200- 210 £

In the UK it's £180 ($360), but with a bit of cheating I managed to get mine for £145. You can sometimes find £20 voucher codes for online stores and get it for £160.
