A wiimote is not complex. It is even simpler than most current controllers. The motion sensor is not hard to re-create and the rest of the controller is even simpler.

But I do have to agree, I wouldn't want to be holding that controller, reminds me of the wii Jacket. Nintendo products have to stop resembling sex toys.
