Why isn't Nintindo make their own chargers?

I got 2 rechargeable AA batteries and a mini charger for about £3 at Argos, and the amazing thing is they work in the Wii as well as any number of other household appliances. Why pay £15 for something that only works in the Wii?

That's a charger and batteries for 2 Wii remotes and an extra set of batteries for a TV remote control or something all for less than the price of one Wii remote charger. Plus you can use the batteries in anything you want, not just Wii remotes.

Still think the chargers are a good deal?
