mine stands... remm diagonally... like an against my dvd player. the reason is because otherwise, I would be able to have my gamecube controller plugged in

Mine is standing also. I had to put it that way so it would fit. I have my PS2, Xbox, GameCube, Wii, stereo speakers, and satellite receiver all on top of my entertainment center...and it's not that big so everything is VERY close together. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I get the Xbox360 and PS3.

And, as mentioned, it also looks better standing

mine is horizontal because i have one of those stands that hold the wii and the sensor bar that way and it takes up less space in my entertainment center

I have it lying down because it's hard to play the GC when it's standing.
