My favorite melee strategy:
Humans, in any sort of team game:
The dwarves: Riflemen, Mortar Teams, Tanks, Flying Machines
Amazing sieging and AA, you just need casters/melee from teammates.

2v2: Gaming for the one thats unsecure.
3v3: Your opinion
4v4: Gaming for the one that wants a real challange, it's hard to win in a 4v4 game and many do not has the guts to play it so they play solo.
Solo:
Gaming for the one that dosen't have the guts for 4v4-3v3-2v2
Solo is mostly taken as the Pro Style, well solo is the easiest way of winning, you have full control, no fear for laggers,n00bs,newbs.
Well this is my opinion.
I play as often as i can both solo and 4v4.
at Team: My highest level is 32(Orc) Team game.
at Solo: My highest level is 21(Orc) Solo game.
after the ladder reset i haven't played to much but i wish i had and i will as fast as i have time

I gave up meele games about 2 years ago or 3. Never liked battle.net meele games anyway. Like games with comps more than that.(though i dont even do that either)
