As you all know, counter-strike and valve introduced steam as the new platform for gaming. Steam is advantageous because the game can be updated weekly. Most of the updates have been slight; they fix small bugs and problems.
However, today HUGE changes have occurred...
1. The winning defensive team now gets the same amount of money whether they win by round timeout or not ($3250 instead of $2000)
2. Players on the offensive team who survive the round due to a round timeout no longer receive money the next round.
3. The Terrorists get an additional $800 per player if they plant the bomb but lose the round.
The money system has radically changed. This will completely change the way we strategize rounds in cal matches and scrimmages. Please be aware of these changes. There will no longer be "save-out/stay alive" rounds where five terrorists just sit around and do nothing except try to stay alive. The quicker we adjust to these changes, the bigger advantage we'll have over other teams. Planting a bomb will now give us money. Be aware of these changes...we will work out the kinks the next time we scrim and practice...
