New Computer

Well uh since my computer is a piece of fuckin shit, its slower then shit rolling up a hill, two the graphichs are like pre cavemen and it makes that fucked ups sound (i feel like its gonna explode up and blow my fuckin nuts off, and i need those).

I'd like a custom computer, since its cheaper. The most i can afford is like $800(untill i get a job)

any recomendations?

if so 1200 or even 800 is more than enough

you can reuse a few parts you already have like yrou mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, cd-rom, HDD

it all depends, but you can certainly upgrade to a much better setup with not much cash


i spent like 700 on my recent upgrades and i am running this

AMD athlon 64 3700+ san diego
asus a8v deluxe
ati radeon 9800 pro(kept that from my old pc)
soundblaster audigy 4
1GB of corsair xms twinx pro 3200 (2-3-3-6)
rosewill 500W psu
dual maxtor 40 GB Hard drives 7200 rpm


the parts that matter are good and i saved on the things that dont affect performance like my drives and a case monitor yada yada yada

I'll have to pay someone to assemble it for me, because i don't know anything about computers. And i'll probablyhave to start from scratch , since this thing i call cumputer is about to die.

mobo/cpu combo= $120-150
case= 50
fans power supply= $50
vid card on ebay or something = $100
keep the ram you've got and maybe get another stick =40

floppy ($15)
CD-Rom ($30)
Monitor, mouse, kb, speakers (>$200)
Case (if it is atx)($50)
OS (unless you h4x0r, it isn't free)

You could allot money in this way perhaps:

motherboard(n-force 4 sli with on board sound and ethernet) 125
cpu(a64 3100+) 150
PSU(450 watt min) 50
ram(1 gig) 100
hdd(whatever prolly 200 gig or so) 150
video(6600 gs - sli later) 225

That is rough figuring, but spending around that amount on each component will result in a respectsble mschine.
