I find it interesting that people who are talking about how they're going to vote for Obama or Hilary over McCain.... in March of 2009......
Did I step in a time warp or something? Or did congress change the laws here so that you have to vote a person into office a few months after theyve been inaugurated already

honestly, if you believe in an all powerful god, do you really think he gives a flying rats ass on what man made laws and people we elect?

Old thread is old. In my opinion though, Obama is going to do one of two things:
1.) He is going to send this country into an economic depression of such magnitude that people will wish for the wealth we had on Black Friday, causing more debt than ever imaginable, raising taxes while cutting wages, jobs, and devaluing our dollar. Oh, about devaluing our dollar, I'm sure the only way to pay off the national debt is to print more useless money, which will devalue the USD even more. Enough tax money to pay off 10% of our national debt doesn't exist. The only other way to possibly pay it off is to have everyone work for nothing but taxes. 0 wages. Otherwise known as slavery. So that's not going to happen.
2.) He will unravel the very threads of the economic system we were founded on; capitalism. To "spread the wealth around" and use so many government programs can only mean one thing at some point in the future. Socialism. I'm not saying it's a terrible thing, the United Kingdom thrived for very long under that system. It's just that it would take every value that the United States was founded on, some of them being solely Puritan outlooks which get in the way of progression, and burning them.
