Siddhartha - Herman Hesse
Ishmael & My Ishmael - Daniel Quinn

The Alchemist....added to my Amazon book picks now. I will try to read it this summer. Judging by the description imho it seems to have a few things in common with "The Life of Pi"....which I STRONGLY recommend.

Omni, have you seen the movie "Pi"; It is a brilliant movie man. Highly recommended.

Dude i saw Pi, and i can't say that i didn't like it, but i didn't enjoy it that much either. It's weird, and to be honest with you i did not get it at all.

Yes I saw "pi" the movie and "requiem" as well. Neither have ANYTHING remotely related to the book which this thread is about...BOOKS.

and right now i'm reading the DaVinci Code...pretty good so far...any of ya'll read it yet?

I'm reading Angels and Demons and it's a great book. It's the prequel to the Da Vinchi Code and I've been told Angels and Demons is a better book. I plan on reading the Da Vinchi Code after I finish A and D, which will be in about 3 days.
