Christmas Recap-How Did Everyone Make Out?

Welp, My two brothers, my sister and I all got the new Dell XPS M140.

Freakign awesome, real small and great for transport, 5 hour batt life(kinda sucky but eh..)

Anywho i got some additional junk to make mine better:

How it runs:

Fresh from steam, Runs CS at 100 Frames, CZ at 80 Frames, yet to try Source (im afraid).
Runs Vent, Aim and all the usual suspects just as good as my desktop.

Im sure i can handle the -1 gig difference in chip speed for the cool mobility.

I also got about 300 bucks and some gift cards cause im picky as shit.

I got a 42" plasma tv.

My wife got new leather living room furniture and a new dining room set to go in her newly remodeled house.

why a plasma? you do know the picture quality deteriorates right?

Yes many of us have plasma for that very reason. We don't want a picture that maintains it's quality forever. Instead, we would like it to degrade in about 5 to 10 years so that we are forced to buy new technology. But thank you for your concern.

ROFL Puppet. I got plasma because of one word - viewing angle. j/k I wanted a screen larger than a crt, but because viewing angles suck for rear projections, and they are as big as friggin entertainment centers I went with the plasma.

And yes... they are prone to burn in and they are reduced to roughly 50% of their original brightness after about 5 years of average usage. Right now I am running my settings really close to the zero marks. My logic tells me that in five years I can have a picture comparable to now by cranking up my brightness etc.

Furthermore, Puppet is right. In 5-7 years I will hopefully be looking for wall space for my new 50+ inch plasma for the living room, while the old unit will go to my bedroom.
