It's happening for WiiWare, and it IS online.

in what way is Dr. Mario online? Is it going to be a multiplayer experience, where you can play other people in a tetris race, or are you just going to be able to post your scores up online?

Nintendo has yet to reveal further details. I heard that the game is coming out in March of 2008 in Japan so details are around the corner.

Perhaps the online mode is the only thing new to the series so that may be the only news. :confused1:

It has the basic style of tetris, but with added things and all the tetris pieces are pills, and there are "germs" you have to kill and stuff.
