Hmmm. Well, I've played Kingdom Hearts, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Crash Nitro Kart, Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel, Destroy All Humans, Kingdom Hearts 2, 24: The Game, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age, Resident Evil 4, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Crash Twinsanity, Spyro: A Hero's tail, Heart of Darkness, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones.

Yeah, that's a long list. But if I listed every game I've played in my lifetime, then it would've been too long for just one post. :)

Fladian, in my BG config application there are: Novice, Easy, Standard, Hard, Insane.
[/b]
Oh, my mistake. I have been toying with the difficulity rating of several games lately - at friends - so I probably got a bit confused. Though I am still sure about the "core rules" (standard). :p

Post all games I've ever played? Well, that's a pain. Not only don't I remember most anymore - I'm still from the time of the Comodor and the NES - I'm sure most people wouldn't know them either. :p

Well, the first games I've ever played were DOS ones. Also, I still recall playing Doom games and even ones like Duke Nukem, and those were from when I was between 5 and 9 years. Oh yeah, I still recall that one DOS game - I forget what it's called - that involves a kid in PJs (or whatever that suit was) packing a sling shot and shooting Zombies and such.

I'm managing to complete all quests I got in the city before sailing to Spellhold, do you know how to help the paladin in the grave district? The one whose adoptive son has been murdered.

I started playing a new game I borrowed from a friend. Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga for the GBA.
It's actually quite fun for an RPG on the GBA. Right now I'm stuck though >.<

There is a Priest of Lathander (as I recall, it was a priest of Lathander) near the bottom of the map in the Graveyard district. There is a little girl with him. Just point the Paladin there, and everything will work out just fine. ^^
I could be mistaking, but both the Paladin and the Priest only show up during the morning...

Don't forget the hostile guys in the inn at Waukeen's Promanade and the merecenaries in the sewers of the Temple District, and of course the guarded compound. :) Have fun.

Observer Cult is destroyed, thus everything hostile living in sewers excluding Lich in lower sewers and hmm... how they are called in English? Those creatures with tentacles on the face :)

I know about these guys in inn on Waukeen's Promenade, thanks for reminding me :)

I noticed that maximum reputation level is 20 (Heroic) :) I'm your opposite, Fladian :] Does it matter if Jaheira and Jan (Neutral) disagree?

I'm trying to keep all unique magic items, but I can't manage to keep free slots in inventory even with 6 characters in team... Parts of items for Cromwell and part of my armor & weapon collection I threw into few containers in my Orb of Spheres. How do you manage your equipment having only ONE character?

Illithyd. Mind Flayers. One of the most powerful creatures I can remember in the game... I avoid them at all cost. :p

The Cult of the Unseeing Eye is quite an easy one... the only reason why I always do it lasts is because it's long... and it has a lich. (The very last thing I do before I go to spellhold is get rid of all Liches, but I rarely reconstruct Kangaxx)

I know about these guys in inn on Waukeen's Promenade, thanks for reminding me :)[/b]
Becareful with their thief. By the time he gets injured, he tries to escape.

My opposite? I'm usually Chaotic Good, N00by.
And no, Jaheira, Jan and other neutral characters will not disagree if you have a reputation of 20. However, they will complain when it becomes lower than a certain amount (such as 2). Evil characters tend to leave your party when your reputation reaches 17 - 20, and good characters leave your party when your reputation is 1 - 3.

I'm trying to keep all unique magic items, but I can't manage to keep free slots in inventory even with 6 characters in team... Parts of items for Cromwell and part of my armor & weapon collection I threw into few containers in my Orb of Spheres. How do you manage your equipment having only ONE character?
[/b]
I don't. :p
For items I want to keep, but won't have any use for, for the time being, I usually drop it in a container somewhere in the city. I tend to use a place I am definitely sure I'll be back. Using your stronghold is quite a good option.
If you want to keep them with you, no matter what, then there is another option too. The first floor of Spellhold has a 'bag of holding,' probably the most useful container in the game. It works similar as a container that saves scrolls or gems, except that the bag of holding is able to hold everything and is at least twice the size of other containers.

There aren't too many unique items you can take along, so I'm not sure what you are taking along. Quest items, such as the gem of Amanautor (or whatever it is called, it is forged together in the Shadow-Dungeon) can be dropped. They are no longer necessary.

If you really want to finish all quests possible before going to spellhold, let me ask if you did these:
- Have you spoken to the assistent of a friendly temple? (The temple you helped for the Beholder quest, it usually is Lathander for me :p) He gives an additional two quests, which both give a nice sum of experience.
- Your Stronghold quests?
- The second (and/or third) part of the 'skinner,' from the Bridge District.
- The Playhouse.
- The bones of Kangaxx
- The Shadow & Red Dragon
- The Ghost in the Graveyard district
- The (strong) thieves in the Bridge District near the dock-side, inside a building.
- Character Quests (Keldorn going home, Jaheira going to the Harper's Stronghold, Cernd going home, Valygar's Planer Sphere, etc.)
- The Lich in the Gate District
- Uncle Lester (1000 exp.) in the Graveyard District
- The Guarded Compound in the Temple District (Celestial Fury is just too good to let it go to waste :p)
- The Twisted Rune
- The Limited Wish quest

There, that's are a few quests people tend to miss from time to time. Maybe you missed a few too? ^^ Most of them are worth doing - especially the bones of Kangaxx, the Dragons and the Twisted Rune - or is just a nice thing to do.

I meant, your reputation was (is?) 1, and mine is 20 :p

I know what's Bag of Holding, I used one in Icewind Dale 2, but didn't know it's available in BG.
  • - Have you spoken to the assistent of a friendly temple? (The temple you helped for the Beholder quest, it usually is Lathander for me :p) He gives an additional two quests, which both give a nice sum of experience.
I helped Helm's temple and Lathander's temple, and finished quest with Fallen Paladins (Radiant Heart).
  • - Your Stronghold quests?
One or two out of three.
  • - The second (and/or third) part of the 'skinner,' from the Bridge District.
Third? I only remember confrontation with him at Tradement, which I finished. You mean finishing armor?
  • - The Playhouse.
Can you extend it? You mean the theater quest in Bridge District? If yes, then I've done.
  • - The bones of Kangaxx
    Whatever it is, no.
  • - The Shadow & Red Dragon
    Done.
  • - The Ghost in the Graveyard district
    The Halfling kid? Done.
  • - The (strong) thieves in the Bridge District near the dock-side, inside a building.
    Done.
  • - Character Quests (Keldorn going home, Jaheira going to the Harper's Stronghold, Cernd going home, Valygar's Planer Sphere, etc.)
Jaheira's, Anomen's (I told him to forget about the murder) and Jan's quests are done. Keldorn is with my team not for long time, so his quest didn't appear yet. I also don't know if Minsc has any.
  • - The Lich in the Gate District
I discovered it, but couldn't handle at that time. Thanks for reminding.
  • - Uncle Lester (1000 exp.) in the Graveyard District
Done, I helped to kill him :p
  • - The Guarded Compound in the Temple District (Celestial Fury is just too good to let it go to waste :p)
No, but I'll definitely try :p
  • - The Twisted Rune
Can you explain? My version is fully localized so I don't know correct names of much locations and items.
  • - The Limited Wish quest
    Whatever it is, no. :)
EDIT: Quotes don't want to cooperate with me, changed to list :(

OOH! I remember that game, the kid in his PJ's, and the zombies. after you killed one of them it's hand would chase after you. the weather was always stormy... my friends were playing it recently at uni, right before the hols. yet, i have no idea what the name was... something max? or bash?

heres another one most youngins won't remember - Battle Toads. (or something like that) we had an emulator on our pc back then and me and my brother would play two player, we could never get passed the bike part. (i might have gone past, but i would have died straight away. god-damn memory is so foggy.) my friend also had battle toads on N64.

Yeah, but that's only the case with my solo character. ^^

I know what's Bag of Holding, I used one in Icewind Dale 2, but didn't know it's available in BG.
  • [/b]

  • I didn't know it from Icewind Dale II ^^ I never played that one, you see. :p

[*]- Have you spoken to the assistent of a friendly temple? (The temple you helped for the Beholder quest, it usually is Lathander for me :p) He gives an additional two quests, which both give a nice sum of experience.
I helped Helm's temple and Lathander's temple, and finished quest with Fallen Paladins (Radiant Heart).[/b]
Did you use the real adamantine for "Sir Sarles," or did you use the fake material?

[*]- The second (and/or third) part of the 'skinner,' from the Bridge District.
Third? I only remember confrontation with him at Tradement, which I finished. You mean finishing armor?[/b]
Yeah, though as I recall - considering you are good - you can try to expose them in the Umar Hills when you already exposed him twice (in trademeet as well). I might be mistaking though... but I do recall fighting a summoned lion out there.

    [*]- The Playhouse.
Can you extend it? You mean the theater quest in Bridge District? If yes, then I've done.[/b]
It can only be extended when you're a bard. The only addition you can get from it without being a barc is receiving a diamond or boots of stealth.

    [*]- The bones of Kangaxx
    Whatever it is, no.[/b]
Kangaxx's grave is between Mae'Var's guildhall and the Sea Bounty in the Docks district. I won't spoil any thing more about "the strongest creature of SOA." The only thing I will tell you, the item he (finally) drops after he dies is by far the strongest item of its kind.

[*]- The Lich in the Gate District
I discovered it, but couldn't handle at that time. Thanks for reminding.[/b]
Liches are undead creatures, use a sunray on him, which is the special ability of Daystar, the sword that is stored in the box behind him.

[*]- The Guarded Compound in the Temple District (Celestial Fury is just too good to let it go to waste :p)
No, but I'll definitely try :p[/b]
Good luck, be careful with the traps. The empty bottles they drop are useless and are part of a non-finished quest... as is the entire Guarded Compound.

    [*]- The Twisted Rune
Can you explain? My version is fully localized so I don't know correct names of much locations and items.[/b]
Remember where the guy in red was in the bridge district (the guy that burried the guy in the graveyard district)? Next to him are two houses. One with a lich and one that is empty. The empty room becomes the twisted rune when you carry a rogue stone.
    Be careful, expect the worst.

    [*]- The Limited Wish quest
    Whatever it is, no. :)[/b]
Limited Wish is a mage spell. A scroll of it can be bought in the adventure market... just cast the scroll. For the quest it's: 'An adventure like no other before.'

    Real metal.

    I already killed him :)

Done... though I have been trying few times.

Oh, I know about them. I decided to do not touch the grave for a while until I'm stronger. I also tried few times with that teleport with rogue stone, but couldn't handle it.

Oh, I have that spell, though I've chosen other spells during my sorceror's last level up, and Jan can't cast 7th level spells yet :)

    Real metal.[/b]

  • Ah, that's a shame. Adamantine could be used to forge a very useful (but not too powerful, as it is only a mere +2 or +3) mace.

[*]Remember where the guy in red was in the bridge district (the guy that burried the guy in the graveyard district)? Next to him are two houses. One with a lich and one that is empty. The empty room becomes the twisted rune when you carry a rogue stone.

The quest of the guy in that graveyard is quite an easy one. As a matter of fact, one of the only quests that involves fighting which is of such a relatively easy level.

As for the twisted rune itself - the combination of a lot of powerful creatures - it is quite hard, especially if it is the first time you face that combination of creatures. The reward and experience is worth it though.

[*]Limited Wish is a mage spell. A scroll of it can be bought in the adventure market... just cast the scroll. For the quest it's: 'An adventure like no other before.'

Like I said, cast the scroll, instead of learning it. It doesn't matter at what level you are, just cast it. Put the scroll in your quick slot, and cast it.

I personally always do the Twisted Rune as one of the, if not the last quest that is available. I tend to finish the Twisted Rune after I've been Dragon Hunting. :p If it isn't the last quest I do before I go to Spellhold, then I planned to try to take out Kangaxx after that.
I always rush the game a bit when I'm able to return to 'the city' (after I've been to Spellhold and stuff) and immediately set off to do the 'main quests.'

EDIT: If you have the expansion, some people recommend doing Watcher's Keep's first (and some say the second one as well) level by now.
