I've had lots of dreams that, though I don't believe they were a message sent by some higher being, made me realize that I need to appreciate things more in my life.
For example, I couple months ago, I had this dream that there was a huge earthquake in my area, followed by a gigantic fire and hundreds of meteors. When it was all over, I was the only survivor. The bodies of my friends and family were all lying in crumpled, burnt heaps all over the place. I laid down and started crying, and went to sleep in my dream. Then I woke up (in reality), but I still thought it was real, so I still cried. Then I hear a heavy fist banging on my door, and my mom yells "Matt! You're late for school! Get up!"
I've never been so relieved in my entire life to hear those words.
Going on to a different subject, I recently had a dream that wasn't a nightmare, just kinda... wierd. I was standing in my yard when a pair of orc grunts charge at me. One of them tries to chop me in the chest with his axe, but my skin repels it and the axe just bounces back. The other orc, wielding a mace, tries to crush my skull, but only with the same results. I then reach out with my clawed tentacles (don't ask where they came from), grab the orcs, and through them a great distance away.
Then suddenly, I'm riding on a roller coaster in new york, and a giant spider jumps out of nowhere and spits acid in my face. I am temporarily blinded, but when I open my eyes, I'm sitting in a big field of grass. I stand up and turn around, and there's an army of orcs charging at me. All of a sudden, i'm sitting on a big black horse, and i'm covered in armor and holding a sword and shield. Behind me is a huge army of humans and elves. They charge at the enemy, and I ride along. Right when the armies collided, an orc jumped up and brought me down to the ground, and I woke up.
.... I think what that dream was trying to tell me is that I play too much warcraft
