Yep. I knew it was coming. Finally got officialy confirmation!

Iwata himself confirms it.

Haha, a luma would make a better powerup (though I can't think of one on the spot) than a player

I wonder what her special will be? They are still doing specials, aren't they?

No...it said "new character" and almost all of the bosses were based on older mario games.
