question: Are people willing to pay to have guaranteed power and space
available for game plaly (ie. i can hook up some deals at local hotels and
we can blow up their conference room, etc)?

or if not, gimme some ideas of venues. i guess we need a "sign-up"
sheet as well so we can get a head count. that will let us know if we need
something like a hotel or if we can just get down at an apartment/house
somewhere. do any of you nerds know how to do that on the net?

well if we are going to do this right we've gotta do it with the following

1) a place for everyone and their computers
(me and blz can work that out for the charlotte lan)

2) a place for everyone to sleep for the one's choosing to stay
(if we work out 1 right this will already be taken care of)

3) probably most important is connectivity. (i.e. a switch or router or router/switch)

we can call arrund to local hotels/motels and if we get a group rate and enough people to come we can rent out the ball room on the cheap

also we will need to decide about a server to dedicate

gtfo, the beer pong championship series is where the real players are. I'll be hosting the 3rd place bowl game (200 vs 200 cups). I'm still pushing for a championship bid.
