The units aren't really life size....after all some heroes are bigger than trees

I prefer to go to the realistic view. Big trees, giant buildings, practically undestructable by using a weapon like a sword, etc.

Naturally. It's a strategy game. Nearly all kind of games like that are made in such kind of way. It's something to get used to.

This is also true. I just find it funny how Thrall's sleeping quarters (a burrow) is the same size as him

Under a bridge, oh yeah... I'm not sure if it is internationally, but out here, when someone is either extremely drunk or is homeless, they are often told to: "Sleep under the bridge." It's quite a common saying out here.
