I use a plantronics stereo headset, with special foam thingys on the ear pieces that have a hole in the middle to channel sound from the speaker into my ear instead of diffusing through the whole foam block...and i got a chunk of foam that i just kinda shoved on my mic to reduce random noise.

(i know this is out of date, but who cares =D)
